We’ll guide you through each step so you feel informed and supported, whether the vaccine is for you or your child.

What To Expect

Getting your BCG vaccination

BCG vaccination is an important preventive step, and understanding how your appointment will run can help you feel prepared and reassured.

  1. Pre-Vaccination Assessment

Confirms you're suitable for the vaccine and safe to proceed.

  2. Mantoux Skin Test if Needed

Some patients may need a Mantoux skin test before BCG vaccination to check for previous TB exposure and help determine suitability.

  3. Vaccination Procedure

A small injection administered by our practice nurses on the same day as your consultation.

  4. Aftercare Guidance

Clear advice on caring for the injection site and what to expect over the next few weeks.
