Fees & Rebates Update – October 2026
From October 2026, payment surcharges will no longer be charged separately.
Consultation fees will increase slightly to include this change, however the total amount paid by patients will remain approximately the same as before.
Please note, it is at the doctor's discretion whether they choose to bulk bill a patient. For any special circumstances regarding payment of fees, patients may discuss these confidentially with their GP.
Cancellation Notice
If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel at least 4 hours before the scheduled time to avoid late cancellation and DNA (did not attend) fees:

New Patients
New patients are always welcome. To give your doctor ample time to review your medical history, current concerns and overall health background, your first visit will be booked as a long consultation. This applies all new patients including children.
For children, the first visit is privately billed, after which eligible standard, long and telehealth consultations are bulk-billed through Medicare between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Children Under 14
Nurse's Fee
A nurse immunisation fee applies for administering government-funded vaccines provided under the National Immunisation Program Schedule.
Fee: $26
Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
After the first visit, children under 14 are bulk-billed through Medicare between 9:00am and 5:00pm for standard, long and telehealth consultations. Additional fees apply for services such as mental health care plans, travel vaccinations and other non-standard services.
Monday to Friday, after 5:00pm
First visit is $137.10 with Medicare rebate of $87.10 (out-of-pocket $50.00). Then bulk-billed until age 13.

Patients Without Medicare
Patients without a valid Medicare card are privately billed and are not eligible for a Medicare rebate. Full payment is required on the day, and a receipt can be provided for submission to private health insurance where applicable.

Test Results, Prescriptions & Referrals
Test Results
Most test results, including blood tests, X-rays and scans, are received within 7 days. Results must be reviewed with your GP so they can explain the findings, ensure continuity of care and discuss any next steps.
Fee: $72 (Saturday $81)
Repeat Prescriptions
Existing patients can request repeat prescriptions which may be provided without an appointment, depending on the medication and the timing of your last GP visit.
Fee: $50 (Saturday $60)
Repeat Referral
In some cases, repeat referrals can be issued without a consultation, based on the referral type and when you last discussed the condition with your GP.
